Microsoft is partnering with Hyderabad-based WE Hub, the Indian state-backed incubator for women. MS plans to help encourage girls to pursue STEM-based careers and provide networking opportunities across technology sectors.

The alliance will also give WE Hub communities access to the Microsoft Garage Microsoft Garage experimentation and incubation centre in Hyderabad.

WE Hub is open to a range of start-ups led by women and is supported by funds from the state-run Atal Innovation Mission, which promotes innovation and entrepreneurship across India.

Among WE Hub’s initiatives is the Community Slate six-month accelerator programme helping female-led social enterprises scale up into self-sustaining businesses, and Women in Manufacturing which aims to boost female participation in the manufacturing sector.
