Tech spend to beat Brexit
Brexit is the most likely factor to trigger a decline in business revenues in 2018, according to a survey of large and medium sized British firms.
Close to 60% of companies’ senior decision makers cite leaving the EU as the biggest threat to their activities, while just 22% fear reduced customer spending, according to The Data Surge report from MHR Analytics.
The research also finds that firms are upping investments in a bid to head off any possible revenue drop, with technology spend a key tool.
“It’s clear that businesses are braced for significant turbulence next year and are planning major investment in key areas to power through an anticipated drop in revenues,” says Nick Felton, SVP at MHR Analytics.
