A Connectory for London
Bosch has launched its London Connectory co-innovation space to develop smart mobility solutions for London. Bosch has allied with Nitrous, a facilitator of collaborations between start-ups and government, to help on partnerships.
London Connectory’s Shoreditch location is now looking to play host to a network of start-ups, workshops, mentors, investors and developers.
First onboard is Transport for London with an 18-month project exploring how goals from the Mayor’s Transport Strategy can be addressed. These include having more efficient, greener and safer vehicles on the capital’s roads, reducing congestion, and working towards 80% of all trips across the city being made on foot, by bicycle or by public transport by 2041.
“We want to do even more to utilise data and smart technology to meet the needs of our citizens,” says London’s chief digital officer Theo Blackwell. “To do this we need to be bold and think big, and this involves being willing to try new ways of doing things.”
