Amazon in an Instant

Amazon is looking to go far better than next-day delivery and is rolling out its Instant Pickup service across US college campuses. The idea is that customers order from a pretty limited list of a few hundred popular items via app, with Amazon then slotting the goods into a locker within a mere two minutes – clients receive a code used to unlock the locker door for retrieval.

The University of California, Berkeley, is already up and running with Instant PIckup, with five campuses targeted in the short-term.
