Roy Orbison is going on the road some 30 years after his death. The In Dreams tour bowed last weekend at the Association of Performing Arts Professionals event in New York, starring the singer as a hologram, and is headed to the UK, other European venues and North America.
The outfit behind In Dreams is Base Hologram, which also has plans to put Maria Callas back on stage with full orchestras thus year.
Orbison and Callas will perform full-length concerts, singing all new digitally remastered renditions of their biggest hits. “Audiences will be fully immersed in this never-before-seen type of concert event as holographic icons interact with both the musicians on stage and the audience,” the company says.
