VW has stopped taking orders for its e-Up electric vehicle due to high levels of demand. The car maker recently dropped the price of the car, which may have boosted consumer interest.

The e-Up’s life may be limited in any case as the company is planning to its new electric ID range next year as part of its strategy to move massively away from diesel. VW’s first car will be the ID Neo which is expected to cost around $21,000, though there is speculation that the price tag could come in even lighter.
