TOBi in the lab
Vodafone has launched its Vodafone Labs online hub featuring its latest technological innovations. The digital destination is currently showcasing initiatives such as TOBi, the UK’s first live telecoms chatbot, along with voice authentication services which are being tested with Amazon’s Alexa, along with natural language and voice biometrics innovations.
But back to TOBi. Vodafone reckons the service offers immediate, relevant support to resolve more than 70% of customer queries, while the chatbot is acquiring new skills at it communicates. The carrier has started expanding the range of support TOBi can offer across basic and more complicated queries and is looking to integrate the platform with its corporate systems so that the majority of its webchat activities can be automated.
Vodafone says it is set to launch voice biometrics identification as the next phase of our voice transformation initiative, enable customers to use their own voice to authenticate and access their accounts.
