Uber to appeal yet another city ban

Uber says it’s disappointed that the city of Brighton has revoked it operator’s licence and intends to appeal the decision. The council said the company was not a ‘fit and proper person’ to hold a licence, citing concerns about Uber’s breach and its lack of commitment to use only Brighton and Hove licensed drivers.

The city added that the company ‘puts the safety of residents and visitors at potential risk’.

Uber drivers licensed with Brighton will continue to operate in the area until the appeal is heard.
