Lease that Tesla

High-end electric vehicle maker Tesla is aiming to launch a car leasing service to up demand for its Model 3. The lease programme looks set to hit the market in the second quarter, with company employees the first lessees.

Tesla expects to increase Model 3 production to around 7,000 a week by end-2019. However, that figure could rise to a weekly 10,000 if the company manages to get its new Shanghai factory online by the year-end, getting Tesla past the half-million per year mark.
