Shell is installing electric car chargers at stations in the UK and the Netherlands before end-2017. The oil major is partnering with Dutch EV infrastructure outfit Allego. The partners will deploy fast-charging, 50kW equipment at selected Shell service stations in and around London and Derby in the UK, and in the Randstad region of the western Netherlands.
“We see that people are willing to shift towards electric mobility,” says Anja van Niersen, CEO of Allego. “But a lack of appropriate level of charging infrastructure and interoperable charging services is one of their main concerns.”
