Renault is carrying out trials of its EZ-FLEX all-electric light commercial vehicle with a number of European companies and cities to test its real-world performance.

The trial vehicles will be equipped with sensors to collect data on geolocation, mileage, range, speed and stops. The information will be transferred via the vehicle’s connected system, either in real time or once per day.

The vehicle has a range of 100km, which Renault says is sufficient for urban delivery services that covers an average 50kms per day. The auto maker expects the volume of transported goods to increase fourfold by 2050.
