Sony Interactive Entertainment has rolled out its PlayStation Productions production studio to develop film and television projects based on PS’s library of video game titles.

The catalogue boasts more than 100 original content properties across a range of gaming genres, and SIE has decided to go the in-house production route rather than license out its intellectual property. Among those titles are games such as Tomb Raider, Spyro the Dragon, Uncharted, and God of War.

Sony Pictures will support PlayStation Productions on the distribution side of the business.
