Paris electrifies car shares
French automaker PSA has launched a new electric free-floating car-sharing service in Paris. The Free2Move service will initially boast a fleet of 550 Citroën C-Zero and Peugeot iOns.
The cars will costs €0.32/minute with a monthly €9.9 subscription, or come at a €0.39/minute on a pay as you go rate. Free2Move vehicles get free public parking in the French capital, as well as access to dedicated EVs spaces.
The company says its planning to expand its offering to the surrounding metro area soon.
e-takeout: PSA has moved quickly to fill the gap vacated by the defunct Autolib service which pulled its 4,000 vehicles off the streets during the summer. Let’s hope it makes a better job of EV sharing than Bolloré Group.
