AI on food
Tech food outfit Soylent has joined forces with Wieden+Kennedy to launch an AI spokesperson, Trish, for its minimalist-nutrition products. Trish will reside at the Soylent.com online store and ‘her’ tasks include educating consumers on how to use Soylent’s product range – which includes a drink, bar, powder and the Coffiest balanced breakfast in a bottle – and helping them make ‘food decisions easier and stress-free’.
The new ‘nutrition-obsessed artificially intelligent spokesperson’ will also act as a brand ambassador and do her work across broadcast, digital and social channels, plus she is slated to make an appearance at SXSW.
In addition, Soylent has also gone and rolled out a bitcoin-based – of course – store, Soy Route, on the dark web to give its loyal customers fast access to its output. The out-there shop will be offering unlisted items not yet on general sale, among them a ‘mystery-flavour’, a ‘beef-flavour kit’ and ‘golden Soylent.
Unsurprisingly, Soylent has a following among Silicon Valley start-up techies looking for simple, one-shot nutrition that doesn’t interfere with the workflow.
