Amazon gets women wise

Amazon says it will work with UK diversity campaign WISE to understand the challenges those in science, technology and engineering roles face.

“Our aim is for the report to create a roadmap to securing more women in innovation-focused roles by identifying practical actions industry can adopt immediately,” says Fiona McDonnell, Amazon’s director of consumer retail.

Amazon research conducted by WISE found that women make up 23% of STEM occupations across the UK, but just 15% of management roles in this sector.
