Adidas accelerates in Paris
Adidas has launched its first global sports accelerator programme at the Station F technology hub in Paris. The sports apparel maker has teamed up with innovation platform Plug and Play and is investing €1mn in the programme.
The Platform A initiative has kicked off with 13 start-ups to develop new products and business models for the sports business. In the mix are US sports network Overtime, Hero, a UK shopping service enabling online users to connect live with shop assistants in physical stores, and France’s Running Car and its digital coach to help runners prevent and treat injuries. Also in the intake are the likes of Blue Bite, SneakerCrypt, Storr, WOM, YEAY, eyecandylab, Radius8, Stuffstr, Vekia, and Neurun.
