F for Fighters
Paris-based innovation hub Station F has launched its Fighters Programme with 13 start-ups headed up by entrepreneurs from underprivileged backgrounds. Station F says its Fighters include those who have a difficult personal history, come from low-income families, don’t have resources or a network, or are refugees.
The hub received over 200 Fighters applications from 27 different countries, with many coming from France, the US, India, Iran, Algeria, Cyprus and Nigeria.
Among the intake is Sri Lanka’s BotFactory which is developing a platform to create multilingual conversational assistants for business to deliver efficient IM services. Konexio connects refugees with citizens in their local communities by providing access to digital skills and IT training. A2JOB is a platform helping social and healthcare entities find emergency employees more easily.
