Nissan has rolled out a new fleet-based car sharing initiative, e-Share Mobi, that gives drivers access to Nissan Leaf EV and Nissan Note hybrids across 30 stations in Japan. The carmaker says the platform will give consumers the opportunity to test-drive its autonomous driving technologies and electric drive systems.
The innovations on offer include Nissan’s ProPILOT autonomous driving technology and ProPILOT Park on the Nissan Leaf, and Around View Monitor on both the Leaf and the Note e-POWER.
To make using the service as easy as possible, there are no monthly membership nor distance-based fees, with total transparency on pricing. Uses can deploy their driving licence as a membership card, eliminating the need to carry a separate piece of plastic.
