Mobile vs Trump
There aren’t too many mobile phones which help users fight the current US president, but Credo Mobile is one. Since 1985, the company has donated an impressive $83 million to organisations fighting for issues such as women’s rights, economic justice, voting rights and climate justice, and now its Unlimited Plan is financing Trump resistance by donating part of users’ monthly payments.
Credo says more than 175,000 of its members recently called on lawmakers to restore and expand DACA by passing clean immigration legislation, while 125,000 have signed a petition calling on Senate Democrats to block all legislation that would criminalise immigrants and ramp-up deportations.
The mobile outfit says dozens of members in key states have created short video testimonials urging Republican senators to oppose Trumpcare, while CREDO has placed billboards in strategic locations to pressure senators to oppose the initiative.
