Microsoft to host AI accelerator programme in the new Station F innovation hub in Paris

Microsoft is establishing a new artificial intelligence accelerator programme in the new Station F innovation hub in Paris when it opens at the end of the month. The tech giant is partnering with INRIA, the French national IT and automation institute, and the initiative will kick off with a handful of start-ups.

Recast.ai, which specialises in technology for managing chatbots, has been named as the programme’s first participant, with Microsoft and INRIA looking to support 100 firms in total.

The Station F campus, which is located in the south of Paris, will launch with 17 start-up programmes on-site, including fintech, meditech and a newly announced cybersecurity initiative for 20 different outfits backed by aerospace, space, security group Thalès. Plus Ashoka is launching of the Ashoka Village at Station F, featuring 72 desks for social innovators as they scale-up.

Station F is also partnering with Anticafé to roll out a coworking-coffee shop that will also be open to the public. The café will charge by the hour, with drinks part of the deal.
