Department for International Trade allies with Bloomberg Media to create the Believe in the UK campaign as the country exits the EU

The UK Department for International Trade has allied with Bloomberg Media to create an international campaign, Believe in the UK, that looks to promote trade and investment opportunities afforded in the market as it enters Brexit negotiations.

The initiative comprises editorial and videos, featuring execs from the likes of technology start-ups, healthcare, IT services, advertising and design. The campaign will target the global business community, running across 20 markets.

One of the first featured business leaders is Laurence Kemball-Cook of Pavegen, which is developing tiles that generate energy as people walk on them. The company boasts installations at London’s Westfield shopping centre, at the former Olympics site, and near Oxford Street where up to 200,000 people a day will be walking up and down generating energy to power the neighbourhood.

Kemball-Cook notes that the UK is ‘renowned for its technology, education and design, with some of the strongest brands in the world’.

Bloomberg Media Studios is Bloomberg’s content marketing arm. It aims to combine ‘the sophistication of Pulitzer Prize-winning journalism with the speed and innovation only a data and technology company can deliver’.  The company says the platform is ‘inspired by learnings from Bloomberg’s successful editorial model’.
