Ahead of this week’s general election Labour was the most searched for political party by the UK public from April to May 2017, according to new online search trends analysis from Captify. The research also finds that Labour’s Jeremy Corbyn is the most searched political leader, ahead of the Tories’ Theresa May, while 69% of searches for Corbyn last month were positive and 94% of searches for May were negative.

Captify also finds that the public searched most online for Labour’s manifesto (54% of all searches), followed by the Conservatives (41%), and the Liberal Democrats (5%). Labour was most associated with the issue of welfare (28%), education (30%) and the economy (18%). The Tories were most associated with the issue of immigration (52% of searches).
