Brit rapper-poet Ghostpoet has joined forces with Topman and magazine Dazed to crowdsource a visual identity for the artist’s new video, X Marks The Spot. The effort is part of Topman’s Open Shoot, a new initiative with the brand looking to connect creative fans with leading musicians. Topman says it wants see the things that inspire, things consumers want to share, and importantly, things they have made themselves. Images, photos, patterns, illustrations, artwork, film clips, etc need to head to Twitter or Instagram, accompanied by the hashtag #Openshoot.
To get things going, Dazed has enlisted the help of some of its creative talents, posing to the question ‘what colours the canvas?’, getting them to express their brand of storytelling through a varied collection of visuals. That means work from glitch-obsessive Natalia Stuyk, photographer Felix Cooper and 3D artist Kim Laughton.
