Slotting brands into the game

By Steve Mullins. WildTangent is rolling out its BrandBoost ad platform in the UK to enable brands to reach consumers playing Facebook games.

Cadbury is using BrandBoost to offer social gamers virtual goods in Cupcake Corner, Happy Aquarium and Mall World for free, in return for engaging with a series of branded mini-games.

Namco Bandai is promoting Dr Kawashima’s Body And Brain Exercise’ for Xbox Kinect across multiple games by rewarding players with items when they watch a clip about the Kinect game.
