Google is opening The Academy, over 40,000 square feet of Central London office space designed to educate and inspire pretty much every single demographic in the Google way of things. In fact, it represents a fusion of existing teams, including the Google Digital Academy, Google Cloud, CS Education, Brandlab, the Zoo, Google Partners, Growth Engine, Policy, Android Wear, Developer Relations, and many more) with the broad objective of helping build digital capability across the board.

For unknown reasons The Academy boasts a range of retro Brighton-themed elements, to include an Electric Cinema, beach- and funfair-styled auditoriums, along with a cloud promenade collaboration space offering access to the latest workshopping technology such as Jamboards.

As part of London Tech Week, The Academy will offer a ‘Get Started in Tech’ course, run by the Prince’s Trust, with participants receiving training on using video and technology to create a brand story, with a graduation ceremony planned for the end of the week.
