AT&T has come up with a price for data privacy. The comms outfit’s 1Gbps GigaPower fibre-driven service comes in at $70 a month, and for an additional monthly payment of $29, consumers can rest assured their activity isn’t being tracked by AT&T.

However, AT&T is spinning it slightly differently. The $29 non-tracking fee is actually the price users pay so that the ISP doesn’t collect data it can then sell to advertisers so that they can provide target advertising and also offers more closely tailored to customers’ interests.
