Apple is getting ready to decorate its shop fronts to promote the in-store rollout of Apple Watch ‘try-on’ appointments on 10 April in the run-up to the full launch on the 24th. According to 9-to5mac, the new display will pop up at all Apple Stores with glass-front windows, with the design riffing on the app icon arrays on the Watch’s home screen. Each icon is stuffed with Mac mini-powered LED lights to display different colours, patterns and effects throughout the day.
The brand is also reportedly upgrading the interiors of its leading Apple Stores with Watch try-on tables, try cases, and display tables. Those shops stocking the upscale Apple Watch Editions – likely to be limited at launch - can order the wearables to be shipped to a customer’s home.
