NYT takes T to Japan
The New York Times is launching T Japan, a Japanese-language edition of T: The New York Times Style Magazine. The new mag, published with Asahi Shimbun, will combine original, regional content with translated coverage, photographs and commentary from the flagship edition of T Magazine. It will be published four times per year and distributed throughout the Tokyo metropolitan region.
T Japan will be shipped directly to ‘influential members’ of the Japanese community in the Kanto, Chubu and Kansai regions, and to preferred customers of Flag Ship, a fashion website owned by Shueisha,
“Japan’s international outlook and unique culture make it the perfect place to enjoy the kind of content published in T Magazine,” said Michael Greenspon, general manager, news services and international for The New York Times.
